Essential Duties
Execute Sales Process in Accordance with Dealership Sales Strategies
Be able to sell cars and trucks using email, phone and face-to-face skill sets
Show up for work on time and as scheduled by manager
Use a computer for email, CRM (Lead Management Tool), websites and MS office applications such as Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
Respond to Internet Leads within 15 minutes of receiving them in the CRM
Call prospects within 15 minutes or less of receiving a new lead – modifying the template based on telephone conversation
Set appointments dealership visit with at least 30% of prospects received
Downloads and follows up on all dealership manifest and opportunity lists
Answers all inbound profit center calls for sales
Makes outbound prospecting calls inviting prospects to the dealership
Makes CSI follow-up calls for sales
Contacts all no-shows to reschedule missed appointments
Confirms all appointments by phone
Advises customers on appointment reminders
Attend GM internet training and complete testing requirements to become GM Certified to receive GM leads and meet SFE requirements
Understand the buying profile and patterns of the Internet customer
Use Dealership’s CRM to ensure response time to all customer inquires – email, fax or telephone – is virtually instantaneous
Utilize personalized Dealership email templates for communications
Utilize Dealership telephone word tracks as guidelines for process and flow of customer phone contacts
Execute Dealership’s pricing strategy when responding to leads in a way that profitably competes for the Internet customer both on-line and off-line
Assist in registering all sold customers in GM programs designed specifically to tie them to Dealership… OnStar and My GM Rewards
When assigned by manager; register, schedule and attend Internet training and information seminars designed to learn the latest processes and techniques for automotive eBusiness
Attend weekly General Sales Meeting
Attend monthly Internet meetings with SFE Digital Facilitator and quarterly update meetings with SFE Digital Process
BDC must have and maintain a company text-message capable cell phone that is set-up to receive notification of new leads received and assigned to that salesperson
Each BDC must have and maintain a text-message capable cell phone set-up to receive notice of new emails received from existing prospects and sold customers
BDC must make all texts and calls from the CRM app on their desktop or their company cell-phone at all times. Personal phones are never to be used.
Assist in directing customers to their desired locations in the dealership
Answer phone calls for the sales department
At times assist in driving vehicles for drop-offs
Other tasks as assigned by the Sales Managers
Qualifications
A successful BDC needs the product knowledge, professionalism and empathy that customers look for today. Communication is extremely important in a sales department as it contributes to team building with all dealership departments.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Automotive marketing
One to two years prior BDC experience
Knowledge of Vin Solutions CRM and the DMS useful
Retail experience helpful
