Job Description
Job Title: GIS Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ months

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related field.
4+ years in a strong understanding of GIS concepts and principles.
Proficiency in GIS software such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
A strong background in geospatial technology, with expertise in metadata standards, ISO standards, and Survey123.
Familiarity with geospatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and spatial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with web mapping libraries/frameworks (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, ArcGIS API for JavaScript).
Knowledge of geospatial analysis techniques and tools.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and GIS cloud services.
Previous experience or coursework in software development or GIS development projects.
