General Summary:
Velocity is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to lead the FP&A team and function, assisting the company through a time of transformation and growth. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will assist the CFO and Finance/Accounting team with financial model building and enhancements, budget and forecast development and management, financial reporting, and other analytical projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Support CFO and Finance team with enhancing and maintaining the current financial models
Plan and lead the annual “bottoms-up” business plan, working closely with functional leaders
Develop quarterly forecasts
Prepare and/or review and coordinate presentation materials for monthly results, budget, forecasts, strategic outlook including information on financial performance, treasury and ROI metrics, variances to budget and forecast
Develop and enhance current financial reporting dashboards
Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources
Complete ad hoc reports or analysis in support of M&A activities and special projects
Analyze trends in the business and generate insights to drive business performance improvement and develop new reporting
Generate monthly cash flow, revenue, and cost analysis
Build and manage multiple financial models for projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows)
Solid understanding of GAAP accounting
Strong presentation and organizational skills
Microsoft Office Suite experience required with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong business acumen and judgment skills
Excellent communication skills, experience interfacing with Executive Leadership
Strong attention to detail
Hands-on and “can-do”, positive attitude
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resource allocation, human resources modeling, warehouse and inventory management principles and modeling

Qualifications, Experience and Education:

Required – Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Preferred – Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related Business field
3+ years finance and financial modeling experience OR 2+ years consulting or investment banking experience
Management experience a plus
NetSuite Experience a plus
