Director, Telesales Training Programs
Position Overview:
Bloom, the insurance industry’s trusted growth partner, is looking for a tenured sales training leader to chart the strategic direction for Bloom’s sales curriculum, class facilitation and training tools roadmap. In addition, the Director role is responsible for managing training delivery resources as the organization adds hundreds of new resources seasonally.
This role presents an opportunity to grow and develop a team of best-in-class training professionals, enable an analytics-based training program and utilize market-leading strategies and tools. Bloom thrives on a foundation of successful sales professionals, and this role plays a critical part in enabling sales agents with the tools and knowledge to support a deep bench of healthcare clients.
An excellent Director candidate is capable of thinking big, as well as diving deep into the details, ensuring their team is organized and well managed. A successful leader in this role must have phenomenal communication and team-building skills. Training acumen, thought leadership and proficiency is critical, as this role will partner with sales delivery experts to develop a comprehensive sales curriculum that is cascaded through dozens of training delivery team members. Given this role will manage both a remote team of training professionals, as well as facilitate dozens of virtual training classes, this leader must excel in remote training and content delivery strategies.
We are looking for an exceptional individual who can:
Develop and implement a cohesive sales training strategy to support new agent onboarding and ongoing sales professional development, catered to a virtual learning environment.
Lead a team of curriculum and training delivery professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of training outcomes to tactical KPIs, holding your teams and partners accountable to delivering best-in-class results.
Coordinate training resource planning in partnership with workforce management and recruiting to ensure timely delivery of resources into production.
Develop and implement a technology roadmap of training facilitation tools, as well as knowledge management solutions, to support the broader success and efficacy of agent education.
Advance a continuous improvement agenda, identifying training gaps and organizational development needs for training and staff development to enhance employee performance.
Develop sales training playbooks for both Medicare and ACA programs, partnering closely with regulatory experts and sales delivery teams.
Remain abreast of current healthcare regulations and sales strategies to ensure Bloom remains at the forefront of growth innovation.
Coordinate with COO and executive leadership on Board-level performance indicators and strategic vision for the Telesales organization.
Manage training learning management tools to ensure relevant course offering, tracking enrollment and course completion.
Design and develop training programs, materials and curriculum using industry-leading instructional design methodologies.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
8+ years of high-volume, job-specific/skill-based training and development experience, required
2+ years of virtual/e-learning training and content delivery experience, required
Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTM), preferred
5+ years of Medicare experience, preferred
Telemarketing or Telesales training experience, preferred
Experience with e-learning platforms and digital training tools
Experience leading large-scale training and development projects linked to business objectives
Experience implementing adult learning theories and principles
Required Skills and Abilities
Well organized with an emphasis on meeting deadlines, maintaining, and executing project plans and deliverables
Proven track record of designing a learning development strategy and related program components.
Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Lesson and curriculum planning and project management skills.
Ability to prioritize meeting deadlines, strong attention to detail, and work independently as well as collaboratively in group settings in a fast-paced sales organization.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
Comfortable in a collaborative work environment, building strong and effective lines of communication with colleagues and subject matter experts.
Familiarity and comfort with virtual training industry trends and best-practice tooling
