HCH Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager in support of The Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH). This is a full-time, contract position.
BHDDH is an agency within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), It is the second largest department in the Rhode Island state government with more than 1,100 employees working in three divisions: Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals, which includes the Eleanor Slater Hospital (ESH) and the newly formed Rhode Island State Psychiatric Hospital (RISPH).
BHDDH Hospitals is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with IT and Healthcare Background.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities
Manage and control project and project delivery teams to meet project deadlines, escalate issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and adhere to project management methodologies.
Experience with requirements gathering, functional specification development, application implementation and business analysis principals.
Lead the planning and coordination of projects, including procurement, system configuration, testing, implementation, systems integration, training, activation and deployment.
Demonstrate strong leadership with project stakeholders at all levels within the organization
Responsible for managing essential project relationships and resolving project issues
Work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, e.g. hospital leadership, application owners, vendors, clinicians and support staff
Project documentation – Create and maintain required project documentation and communicate all relevant project statuses and priorities to senior management, project sponsors, stakeholders, and project team members in a consistent, timely manner.
Maintain Risk Register and Issues Log
Manage project budget, ensuring deadlines and cost targets are met
Serve as a liaison between business, clinical and technical project stakeholders
Evaluate new IT strategies and procedures
Ensure a smooth transition from project planning and implementation to ongoing production support
Research of electronic medical record (EMR) systems used by all other US States and the District of Columbia.
General Project Management and BA Credentials and Qualifications
Strong Project Management experience implementing large scale healthcare IT projects at the Enterprise/institutional level.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
At least 5 years’ worth of relevant project management
Familiarity with PMI principles required; PMP certification desirable but not required
Preferred to have been a Senior PM for at least 2 enterprise wide EHR/EMR projects
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Must possess strong customer service skills and mindset
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to meet project deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
Proficient in the use of MS Office and other project tools
Be a Self-Starter, but also a Team Player
This is a full-time, onsite position in Cranston, RI. Percentage of onsite versus hybrid at that point is TBD. Locations include: Eleanor Slater Hospital and RI State Psychiatric Hospital. Projected start date TBD. Contract length TBD. Salary negotiable.
