Rooted Maternal Wellness is seeking a compassionate and skilled *International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)* to join our growing team as a contracted worker. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on families by providing expert infant feeding support.

*Responsibilities*
* Conduct *lactation consultations* for in-person and virtual clients, addressing breastfeeding challenges, latch issues, low milk supply, pumping, and bottle feeding.
* Perform thorough *oral function assessments*, including evaluations for tongue-tie and other restrictions, and provide referrals when necessary.
* Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each family’s needs and goals.
* Educate families on *breastfeeding techniques, pumping optimization, bottle feeding strategies, and formula preparation*.
* Provide *prenatal education* to prepare families for their feeding journeys in the early postpartum period.
* Maintain detailed, HIPAA-compliant documentation of client encounters.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
* Represent Rooted Maternal Wellness at community outreach events and participate in educational initiatives when needed.

*Qualifications*
* Current IBCLC certification.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and client-centered care.
* Experience with oral function assessments and managing cases involving tongue-tie preferred.
* Ability to work independently and maintain a professional, compassionate demeanor.
* Access to reliable transportation for home visits (if applicable).
* Must have or be willing to obtain professional liability insurance.
