Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Budget Analyst to join our remote team. This role will provide critical program management and acquisition support for the Project Manager Tactical Network, specifically within the Business Management Division (BMD). The Budget Analyst will be responsible for formulating, presenting, and executing both annual and multi-year budgets, preparing budget documents, and ensuring compliance with fiscal policies and procedures. The ideal candidate has a background in budgeting for Department of Defense (DoD) programs and expertise in budget control and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Provide program management and acquisition support for Project Manager Tactical Network, Business Management Division (BMD)
Formulate, present, and execute annual operating budgets and multi-year budget estimates
Compile narrative and statistical materials for program briefings and prepare required budget documents
Monitor execution of the approved operating budget to ensure proper allocation and timely expenditure of funds
Exercise budget controls by reviewing and approving obligations and expenditures, including personnel salaries, travel, and other expenses
Develop justification and impact statements for forecasting obligations and recommend adjustments within budget line items
Primary Skills:
Proficiency in budget formulation and execution
Experience in DoD program acquisition
Expertise with General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with SharePoint
Qualifications:
BA or BS in Accounting, Mathematics, Political Science, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred
